Housing4Sure is a user-friendly website focusing on short-term housing options for students. Our platform allows students to easily compare housing options and fills a crucial gap in the market, providing solutions within the 1 to 3-month leasing range. Colleges and Universities can subscribe to our service, giving their students free access. Universities can list their spaces at a low cost, expanding their leasing opportunities. Universities utilizing this platform are required to offer 1 to 3-month housing options, ensuring a versatile and accommodating range of choices for tenants and aligning with the diverse needs of the market. With these two key markets in mind, Housing4Sure aims to simplify the process of finding and providing short-term housing.
Our Story
This project was initially part of a school capstone project for our study abroad program in New Zealand. We were tasked with creating a solution to a problem that we faced. After seeing some success in our pitching of the service we felt inclined to pursue this project as a viable business. Our first step is to pitch to the Ole Cup.
The story of Housing4Sure starts by looking into the problem of how to find housing for a short period, either for an internship or for a semester when universities cannot house every student on campus. Our thought process builds on this challenge:
Choosing a medium that will make finding short-term housing the easiest: a website
The website will digitize an old-school posting board, and we are the connectors of renters to rentees.
We have the opportunity to provide universities with direct access to students looking for short-term housing; whilst at the same time providing a service to university students looking for short-term housing – creating a circular economy.
Students need intern housing. Universities have unused capacity. Win-Win.
Universities could invest in our platform through their career centers for students to gain access to the website.
Our website gives a way for universities to list any unused dorm buildings during the summer months.
Rental transaction fee and give renters the convenience of paying their rent in one place.
